Earning Criteria

Recipients must complete the earning criteria to earn this achievement.

Completion of four LPII professional development activities within the duration of the microcredential (from opening date to closing date). Three of the activities must be part of a different category:

  • Soft skills. Soft skills encompass personal attributes and non-technical abilities that influence how you interact with others in the workplace and can be crucial for professional success. Activity examples include presentations/workshops on how to communicate, how to write your resume, how to present yourself, how to prepare for the work environment, professional roundtables/panels.
  • Experiential. In-person experiences of different pharma/medicine/health work environments including tours of campus labs and visits to companies.
  • Educational. Presentations on topics relevant to pharma/medicine/health by experts in those fields.

Students enrolled in this microcredential should participate in at least two activities per semester. Students who fail to complete two activities by December 31st will be offboarded and they will need to reapply to be admitted to the microcredential when it re-opens in a future academic year.

Claiming Achievement

After completing the earning criteria the following may be required to claim the achievement.

Submission of a two-page max reflection on experience gained by participation in each of the three activities. The submission should follow the provided template and include for each activity: brief description, learning gains and constructive feedback (keep doing, quit doing, start doing - KQS).
